Welcome to Villanova University Club Taekwondo

Villanova's competitive martial arts club

About the club

Our club is filled with students of different martial arts backgrounds as well as members who have no prior experience, and cultivate their skills through our club. We practice World Taekwondo style Taekwondo under the guidance of our Masters, coaches, and student leaders. We are a competitive Club Sports team, participating in the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference and we compete 4 times a year at League sanctioned tournaments hosted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cornell University, Brown University, and Princeton University.

In addition to competing, we also conduct a promotion belt test every semester, sanctioned by World Taekwondo through our coaches who are all Masters of Taekwondo. These tests are both mental and physical challenges and serve as a way for our members to display the work they put into sharpening their skills as well as pushing themselves through difficult challenges during the test. Our coaches conduct a black belt test for our club once a year for members who have proven themselves as leaders in the club through dedication to their training and to the club.
